InshaAllah there will be a special talk this Satuday, 30th Sept, regarding the Martyrdom of Sayyadina Hussain (RadhiAllahu’anhu).
The talk will take place at: City Jami’ Masjid, Stockport Road, Longsight. M13 4DT

Eid-ul-Adha will be on Friday 1st September 2017 insha’Allah.
Eid jamaat will be at 830 AM (City Jami’ Masjid, M12 4DT).
– 8th Dhul Hijjah/Start of Hajj: Wednesday 30th August.
– Day of Arafah (Yawm ul Istighfar or Yawm ur Rahmah): Thursday 31st August
– Eid al-Adha / Yaum an-Nahr: Friday 1st September
The first ten days of the month of Dhul Hijjah are great in virtue and it is from the Sunnah to increase in worship and good deeds; especially fasting on the Day of Arafah.
Abu Qutadah (ra) reports that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasallam) was asked about fasting on the Day of Arafah. He said, “It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year.” (Muslim)
